We’ll finish the day with a private afterparty at a local live music venue.

  • Routes. In a creative career, there is no ‘golden path’. Routes will explore how creatives pivot and adapt to a changing world.

Because if there ever was a time it’s needed…

  • Anyone who earns their living through creativity. Professionals, students and those who dream of a creative career. Our creative community is made up of a diverse range of disciplines and people. That’s what makes it great.

  • Working in the creative industries is the ultimate lifelong (learning) career; Your direction can change many times but the narrative of ideas, craft and human connection remains the same.

There is no one ‘golden path’. Routes will explore how creatives pivot and adapt to a changing world.

Progress comes from working together. Collective effort.

  • The day event runs from 11am until 6pm. There will be a break out space, free wifi and a bar for refreshments. There will also be food to buy at lunchtime.

  • Wilson’s is taking over Amped, Huddersfield’s newest live music venue, where Kirklees Most Wanted are curating a night of live music. It’s the perfect end to an inspiring day.

  • Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Day & night tickets are priced at £35. We have day-only tickets available plus it’s free for Students. We are a community and operate ‘a pay if you can’ format. If you’re struggling financially and want to come, get in touch.

  • Why tickets are capped at one per purchase 🎟️

You’ll notice when you buy your WRXL ticket that they’re limited to one at a time. This isn’t about data grabbing - oh no, it’s about understanding our creative community better.

Wilson’s Republic is a CIC, and part of what we do is keep a close eye on the creative landscape in West Yorkshire and beyond. By asking each person to book their own ticket, we can capture more accurate insights into who’s joining us, where they’re from, and how the community is growing.

    This helps us:

    • Keep our events accessible and relevant

    • Track who we’re reaching (and who we’re not)

    • Make sure our community truly represents the diversity of creativity in the region

We’re always monitoring our findings to make Wilson’s better for everyone - and your ticket helps us do that.
