Katy Cowan is the founder and editor of Creative Boom, a UK-based platform that has spent the last sixteen years championing creatives of every background. Launched as a side project in 2009, Creative Boom has grown into a trusted global resource, reaching over one million people each month and supporting a thriving private community of 6,500 members through The Studio.

With more than 25 years’ experience across media, PR and marketing, Katy’s career spans broadcast journalism and the co-founding of a digital consultancy in Manchester.

She has helped organisations including Google, the BBC and TATA Group tell stories that resonate, and continues this work through Creative Boom’s partnerships with brands such as Microsoft, Adobe and Meta. She also hosts The Creative Boom Podcast, which has surpassed one million downloads.
